⚔️ Trade pressure and fake middleman scams
'You go first' is the oldest rule-breaker in gaming trades — and fake middlemen are its polished cousin.
How the scam works
- You agree on a trade for skins, accounts or in-game items.
- The other side insists you send your item or payment first, with excuses: trust issues, 'I have more rep', timers.
- Once you go first, they block you and vanish.
- The fake middleman variant: a 'trusted MM' (actually their friend) takes both sides' items and disappears.
Red flags
- Any demand that you go first
- Middlemen offered by the other party instead of chosen by you
- Pressure, timers or guilt ('don't you trust me?')
- Reputation links to sites you have never heard of
What to do
- Only trade through official in-game trade systems with both-side confirmation.
- If a middleman is needed, choose one from the game's official verified list yourself.
- Walk away the moment 'you first' appears — no exception.
